So we have just been teased with a pretty awesome photo!!
We were left at the end of The Force Awakens on the island of Skellig Michael where Rey confronts Luke. We all presumed this was where he had been hiding out all these years but what exactly was he doing? Well we just got a pretty good idea! The photo seems to show an ancient Jedi Temple that is in the works of being build for shooting. It definitely is on the same location where Rey finally sees Luke so are we looking at the opening shot of episode 8? Of course we are never a 100% sure whether this really is a Jedi Temple however together with fans we have come up with a pretty good explanation of what it is we are looking at. Many have speculated that the shots on Skellig Michael take place on the planet Ahch-To. According to Star Wars mythology an ancient Jedi temple is found on this planet, but not just any temple possibly the first one ever build! Looking at the picture it does have an older design which fits perfectly with the landscape of the island. Jedi temples are known for blending in to environments and this would do the job perfectly (another reason why we are pretty sure this is a Jedi temple we’re looking at) When looking up the history of Jedi temples we do find a confirmation that Luke went to hide out at the very first temple ever built after Ben a.k.a Kylo Ren turned to the dark side. This again confirms our thoughts / speculations and increases our excitement for the next episode! So what do you guys think? Let us know in the comments below and what do you think will be the opening shot of Episode 8?
