Weekly Round-Up

After the excitement of #ForceFriday last week it feels as if news has been a little bit slow but that’s definitely not the case! Let’s see what’s been happening below:

  • The Force Awakens to be released in Europe before the US (Guardian)
  • Want a send a letter but continue thinking of Star Wars? You’re in luck! (BBC)
  • So what’s C-3PO’s red arm about? (Movieweb)
  • Chuck Wendig had the perfect response to homophobic reviewers (Guardian)
  • Construction on Star Wars theme park to begin next year (Star Wars Underworld)
  • We will get an The Art of Star Wars: The Force Awakens book (Coming Soon)
  • Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens – Shattered Empire review (Comic Book)

So, on Clone Corridor

CC contributer Rogue47 will be teaching the Star Wars course at UCL, London. If you’re interested don’t hesitate to email him at rogue47@clone-corridor.uk!

  1. I saw the reviews on Amazon and most of them weren’t homophobic. After all there was a gay character in “Sith Lords” and nobody complained about that. He just can’t handle criticism of “Aftermath” (which has to be THE WORST SW novel ever written, I couldn’t even get past the first page) so he’s using homophobia as a shield. It’s OK for him to tell Prequel fans to commit suicide but nobody can criticize gays? Hypocrite!

    1. I didn’t know it had gotten quite that extreme, but some of the reviews I have seen were only critical of the gay main character. I’ll definitely give ‘Aftermath’ a try at some point!
