My Star Wars Moment #1: Sarah and Boba Fett

Clone Corridor is, above everything else, a blog by and for Star Wars fans. As such, we thought it would be a lot of fun for fans to share some of their favourite Star Wars moments with each other, whether it was seeing A New Hope for the first time, standing in line for The Phantom Menace or making your first piece of fan-art.

Today we have our very first My Star Wars Moment post, sent in by the lovely Sarah who I met on Tumblr as Skygal Skywalker. She does some amazing Star Wars rp (role play) and together with her fiancée she was kind enough to let me blab along in their podcast about the Season 2 Rebels trailer not too long ago. I absolutely love her story and I hope you do too!

‘June 1st 2013 the day before my birthday. One of the best things happened. My fiancée and I went to a convention in Knoxville Tennessee called Fanboy Expo. One of our favorite actors was going to be there: Jeremy Bulloch aka the original Boba Fett. I was so excited. While waiting in line I was bouncing like a little kid in a candy shop. I couldn’t wait to get up to him. It was almost our turn and I couldn’t keep the excitement in, I was just extremely happy seeing the guy who played one of my top favorite characters. He was a very kind person. At one point in the con my fiancé, Anakinskyguy, bought me a boba fett cardboard standee and I had to get another pic of me and him with the standee. We took it over to him and of course he’s so sociable he was over at another table talking to another actor so we waited patiently at his table for him to come back. Finally when he saw us he walked back over and saw the standee. The first words that came out of his mouth made us laugh. The first thing he said was “Look at my tiny legs.” Sure enough his legs are tiny on the standee. He asked if he could see it real quick and of course I said yes. He got it and got behind it acting like it was walking. He took it up to the table and up to his wife. Still acting like the standee was alive he was like “Hello? Hello? Yes I would like to get an autograph please.” I wish I had my camera out recording that because it was the funniest cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It was worth going to that con and seeing him and also getting to meet Lando and the voice actor for Ackbar who, by the way, said “It’s a trap!” as he wrote it on our autographed picture.’

I love it when actors and fans get together and create memories like this!
